Obstacle Course Provides Superheroes a Challenge
Obstacle Course Racing With Superhero Scramble
Wannabe superheroes now have the chance to show just how “super” they really are by participating
in a Superhero Scramble. This challenging obstacle course is not your daddy’s obstacle course or mud run,
and it will take more than dressing up as your favorite crime fighter to win this obstacle race.
While you will compete with others in this obstacle course race with its four to six miles of obstacles,
cold hard cash and prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each male and female age group. The
obstacle course is more about competing against yourself. It’s a way of challenging yourself to get
off the couch and do something fun and exciting and prove that you still have what it takes to be
considered tough…at least to yourself. The obstacle course will get you out of your comfort zone as well
as off the couch and test you in surprising ways.
Obstacle Course Races Across the Country
The Superhero Challenge came about with the thought of getting people to get out of the house and
have some challenging fun. It was also believed that just about anyone can run in a 5K race, a 10K race
or even a marathon. However it would take someone willing to put it all out there to take on the many
obstacles throughout the course.
The obstacle race combines over 20 obstacles from climbing a wall with a rope called ”THE BEAST”, a
giant sliding board into a slime pit and trudging through mud. You may not need to have any special
super powers to compete in this obstacle course race but it will be more of a challenge if you don’t.
Wearing your super costume while competing in the obstacle course race may help you win some
additional prizes in addition to admiration from other competitors.
Remember that whatever you wear will get wet and most likely dirty especially when you attack the
Super Slime pit when running the obstacle course race. Anyone who has ever watched Nickelodeon will
understand how much fun it is to get slimed. Just think about how much you can have working through
a pit the green slimy stuff.
It may be about individuals testing themselves but the obstacle course race is also a fun run and for
charity. In fact, real life superheroes that compete in the obstacle course race; that is police officers,
fire fighters, military personnel, and veterans are given a 20 percent discount on their registration fees.
Add to that, five percent of the obstacle course race competition’s gross, that is five percent of every
registration dollar is donated to Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, making everyone who signs up a real
superhero through their donation.
Obstacle races are held all over the country with the next scheduled event in Miami, Florida on
January, 12, 2013. Additional obstacle course races will be posted on its website once all of the plans
are finalized. You can enter as an individual or as a member of a team, but the winners are regarded
individually. Signing up with a group for an obstacle course race might provide you with some peer
pressure and an extra push to finish some of the more difficult challenges, but you will still win, or lose
the obstacle course race as an individual.
