What happens if you don’t complete an obstacle?
We get asked that question a lot. Some races don’t regulate on participants who don’t complete or skip an obstacle. Then again some do, and we are one of them. If you are unsuccessful or unable to do an obstacle, you’re going to have to do a combination of SUPER SPINS & Burpee’s! What’s that you ask?
SUPER SPIN verb \ˈsü-pər-ˌspin\
- A participant crouches down and spins 360° a set number of times with their forehead placed on the end of a wooden stick
Burpee verb \ˈbür-pəe\
- A squat thrust that starts and ends in a standing position
- Consists of doing a push up, going into a squat, jumping as high as you can, dropping back into a squat then into a pushup.
The number of SUPER SPINS & Burpee’s depends on the difficulty of the obstacle you fail to complete or choose to skip.
We provide the stick; you provide the forehead and the ground will always be there. If you haven’t done this combination before, let’s just say you’ll be going nowhere fast…
